Kawasaki ZT200S year of production:2006. It’s a shelf mount model that borrows a lot from the ZX200S robot which is floor mounted. It still maintains the high speed and quick deceleration and acceleration rates of its predecessor together with ultra High Wrist Torque, high speed servo loop, and all digital servo control for the best performance.
The ZT200S D can work directly below a shelf to make better use of upper spaces in factories which at most times goes to waste. In this way, extra industrial floor space is conserved and put to other functions. The slim design of waist and arms also serves to minimise footprint and ease reach to tools. This robot can function optimally with loads of up to 200kg. It also achieves a horizontal reach of 3230 mm and has six axes. The axes are able rotate at a maximum speed of 180 degrees each second.
Equipped with D controller, this device is much easier to operate while it still ensures that work is done to satisfaction. An ergonomically designed teach pendant with a combination of keyboard and 6.4 inch, full colour, touch screen facilitates good interaction with the programmer. Key response time has also been greatly reduced using the new hardware structure to optimise work flow.
In addition to standard application software, special software for a wide range of applications has been included to facilitate programming. Apart from the provision for simple block steps, the operator can also use Kawasaki's high level AS language shorten procedures and access a wide variety of innovations. Even the most complex applications can be approached through alternatives such as such as servo-welding, network support and a high performance visualisation system.
The system is managed by a 64 bit dual processor with RISC architecture which guarantees high computing power. This translates to improved cycle time and path accuracy with repeatability of 0.3 mm. The controller can also accommodate two more axes without need for extra housing. Depending on the needs of the customer, these can be further extended to three or more if SSCNET-compatible motors are used.
A more unique feature of this system is its high compatibility. Integration with other systems, both new and old, can be achieved with the slightest effort. The manufacturer has retained standard input/ output connections for peripheral equipment and various bus interfaces including Interbus, Profibus, CC-Link and DeviceNet. Low cost upgrading to integrate other systems that are not included is also possible through K- Logic.
Network communication with host computer is also enhanced through ethernet. In this way, uploading and downloading of software to be used is quicker while remote monitoring and diagnosis has also been made more accurate and timely.
No much wiring has been used in these robots hence this reduces complications and facilitates repair processes. Most of the parts are also standard hence it is much easier to find replacements. When all your heavy factory application are to be done in a fast and efficient manner, the ZT200S D is definitely what to go for.
